2017 is another big year for us at Ad Astra. We have continued to grow our team, and we now have over 100 people working hard to continue enhancing our products and services.
Much of our team growth has come on our technology teams. Highlighting our new talent is our new Chief Technology Officer, Ryan Townsend. Ryan’s experience in leading teams that create enterprise-class, cloud-based solutions has already greatly influenced our progress this year. He has also brought in experts in cloud architecture and performance optimization to enhance your users’ experience in our cloud environment.
Another notable addition is Dr. John Barnshaw, our new Associate Vice President of Research and Statistics. John’s expertise and experience at the Delaware Cost Study and AAUP (American Association of University Professors) makes him the perfect person to lead our growing research and statistics area. His work will include building and expanding the scope of our Higher Education Scheduling Index (HESI), which currently reports on the operational metrics from more than 200 colleges and universities.
You will start seeing the impact of our increased investment in the product this summer. We will release Astra Schedule 8 with a revamped user interface and user experience. We are also adding key features to our Platinum Analytics solution, including integration with your student planners and guided pathways.
As always, we look forward to your feedback.
