Partnership with Heart to Heart International

Heart to HeartAd Astra is a proud partner of Heart to Heart International, a non-profit organization focused on providing global health and disaster relief through humanitarian initiatives that connect people and resources to a world in need. This organization has provided a significant impact around the world, including the victims of the Haiti earthquake, Japan tsunami and is quickly organizing efforts to help in Joplin and other areas devastated by tornadoes. Guatemala

Guatemala PhilanthropyHeart to Heart supports dozens of medical teams traveling to Guatemala every year to impact health. They are actively working in the Sololá region with local groups, schools and officials to address several community-health concerns. In February 2012, Ad Astra sent 10 staff members to the village of Patanatic to volunteer in the community by helping in the community garden, educating people about the importance of clean water, distributing and repairing water filters and working in the health clinic. Tornado and Tsunami Relief

A massive tornado destroyed an estimated 25 to 30 percent of Joplin, Missouri on May 22, 2011. The 6-mile path of the tornado left many dead, injured and displaced. The tornado ripped through a hospital and left countless churches, schools, businesses and homes in ruins.

A 9.0 magnitude earthquake hit the pacific coast of Japan on March 11, 2011 causing a major tsunami on the Pacific coastline. This major disaster killed more than 15,000 people and caused many nuclear accidents.
