Jody Gordon
Associate Vice President, Student Affairs and Registrar
Kwantlen Ploytechnic University

Jody completed a First Class Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992 and a Master of Arts degree in 1996 from Simon Fraser University.

Jody has worked in post secondary student services since 1992. She began her career at Simon Fraser University. In 1998, Jody joined Kwantlen first as the Associate Registrar and then in 2001 as Registrar. In 2007, Jody became the Associate Vice President, Student Affairs and Registrar. She is responsible for Enrolment Services (Educational Advising, Frontline services, Articulation and Student Awards and Financial Assistance), Registrar Services (Admissions, Graduation and Records) Enrolment Support (Scheduling, Registration and Enrolment Reporting) and Student Development and Success (Counselling, Learning Centres and Student Life). Jody also teaches Introduction to Criminology to first year students at Kwantlen.

Jody is a government appointed Director on the British Columbia Council on Admissions and Transfer (BCCAT) and the chair of the Admissions subcommittee for BCCAT. Recently Jody was selected by her peers across North America as the recipient of the 2009 Strategic Enrolment Management Award of Excellence in the Canadian Institutions category. The award, co-sponsored by American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and Education Systems Inc., recognizes outstanding achievement and visionary leadership in strategic enrolment management.

Jody presents regularly at higher education conferences on such topics as cultural change in the delivery of student services, programming to improve student success, and evidence-based student centred scheduling.
